The theory of victimization views the impact of criminality on those who survive tragic

incidents. For Mike�s brothers-in-arms this was no theory for we saw those results in a

person we knew and shared with during his participation in the Second Wisconsin.

Primarily, Mike was a skirmisher, but he lost his direction after the accident. After a

divorce and a downward spiral Mike seems to have been coming to grips with his life.

He may even have been ready to join his comrades on the firing line once again.

Mike�s heart attack ended the hopes of the future for him.
